(To be said before Holy Mass)
Lord Jesus Christ,
as I come to Your holy altar today,
I bring with me all that weighs upon my heart—
my worries, my sins, my weariness,
and the silent burdens known only to You.
You have said, “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
Here I am, Lord, answering Your call.
At the threshold of this Holy Mass,
I kneel before You, O Eucharistic Lord,
and lay everything at Your feet:
my failures, my fears, my doubts, my pains,
my family, my work, and my hidden tears.
Nothing is too small, nothing too heavy—
for You carried the Cross,
and by Your wounds, I am healed.
Jesus, Bread of Life,
as You are offered upon this altar,
teach me to offer myself—
my whole heart, my struggles, my desires,
my prayers for those I love,
and even those who have hurt me.
Let my burdens become my offering,
and let my offering become worship in Your sight.
Grant me the grace to trust You completely.
When I cannot see the way,
let faith be my vision.
When I feel broken,
let Your Body strengthen me.
When I am thirsty for peace,
let Your Precious Blood refresh my soul.
O Jesus, gentle and humble of heart,
make my heart like Yours.
Teach me to rest in You,
to be still and know that You are God.
In Your holy presence, may my burdens dissolve
and my soul find peace beyond all understanding.
At this Mass, I unite my sorrows with Your sacrifice,
my weakness with Your strength,
and my will with Your divine will.
Receive, Lord, all that I am—
and give me Yourself in return.
Amen.
